Resolve to revisit, release, restore, reset, recalibrate, regulate and reduce residual trauma by processing your birth or other trauma . 

Unresolved feelings and trauma can have an huge impact on how a mother bonds with her baby, views subsequence births, experiences healing and navigates the world around her. RESOLVE.

Resolve - Trauma Informed Birth Processing

RECALIBRATE & REGULATE

We use neuropsychology models both bottom up and top down approaches along with the HeartMath tool measuring  heart rate variability and coherence to create a new physiological baseline for the nervous system. Follow your body's signals and responses to build resilience and capacity for emotional regulation following trauma. 

 Regular practice of techniques for emotional and physiological regulation widens the “Window of Tolerance.” 

REVISIT- Birth Story Journaling

Writing about your birth story is a powerful way to heal. You are owning your story, rather than your story owning you. You will get guidance and suggestions as you find the words transforming into self-love and compassion.

RELEASE- Mindfulness and Grounding

  Using a wide variety of evidence based relaxation and visualization mindfulness tools can help find inner peace and relaxation while helping to release that which does not serve you. These are incorporated into your journey.

RESTORE & RESET

  Resetting your dysregulated nervous system with breathing and restorative exercises can help slow your heartrate allowing the parasympathetic nervous system to activate and calm your body’s stress response, making the mind relax and the body feel safe.   Calming your whole system reassures the mind and body that you are safe and well in the here and now. When we learn to reframe our cognitive and behavioral responses, regulate our nervous systems, and restore balance to our brain chemistry, we can move away from a state of crisis and break free from the cycle, reducing residual trauma and and leading to resiliency and RESOLVE.



  Dr Jill is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist trained in Grief Recovery, Perinatal Trauma, Trauma Response, military crisis intervention, SAHMSA suicide training, Crisis Management, and Disaster Mental Health. She has worked as a volunteer crisis worker for the Red Cross, Text4Moms and PSI - Postpartum Support International.
